Targossas, the Dawnspear

Greetings, Sapience,

Heralded since darkness first overtook the lands with the rise of Evil
on the shoulders of Father Wulfen, the new dawn has finally broken. The
Bloodsworn are returned, and Their city, Targossas, has opened her gates
to all those who would offer faithful service to Good, to Light and to
Righteousness.

The 22nd of Daedalan, in the year 623 AF, saw the Dawnspear's first
intake of citizens, and Good had a blazing beacon on Sapience once more.
All who have the strength, the will, and the devotion to call themselves
servants of Good will eventually be granted the honour of being counted
among her citizenry; but there are those of you who still blind
yourselves to the Truth, and who still sully yourselves with the vile
worship of Chaos.

Let it be known, henceforth, that all who lower themselves to
worshipping and following the base ideals of Evil, Darkness and Chaos
shall not be welcome in Their city. Those who practice Necromancy,
Occultism, and the Shamanic arts will find no protection within her
walls, and all who call the cities of Ashtan, Hashan and Mhaldor home
will be turned away from her gates.

This will stand as your only warning. Targossas is not Shallam, divided
and timid in her approach; the Dawnspear stands firm, sure in the
renewed teachings of Radiant Aurora and Righteous Deucalion. Any who
find themselves in violation of this policy will be declared an enemy of
the Dawnspear.

It is not too late, though - never too late - for those of you who have
been misguided by those loathsome enemies of Creation itself. Light and
Fire are merciful to those who would turn away from the mistakes of
their past; Their glory is everlasting, Their majesty unmatched as it
shines on those who would commit themselves to Their service.

Those who served faithfully in sunken Shallam, and held true to Their
ideals during our time in the wilderness, will be rewarded first; but
all who would open their eyes to the Light, and engulf themselves in
purifying Fire should step forth, ready to offer themselves to the
service of Their city.

The future is upon us, Sapience. Cast off your shackles, and embrace
your true lives as servants of Creation under the banners of Light and
Righteousness.

In Their eternal service,

Silas Maynard
Dawnlord of Targossas

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Scarlatan, in the year 623 AF.
