Love and the Divine

Greetings, Sapients. I hope this missive finds you in a fine morning.

The Occultist Flair raises an interesting question: Do the Divine care for us, as mortals? Do They have our best interests in Their hearts?

The answer is, they are capable of love for us. If you find yourself in doubt, look at the world around you. Take note of the beauty found within nature, or the strength found through growth. Look at the amazing things people can achieve in our world, and bear witness to the awe-inspiring beauty of Lord Ayar's Creation.

The Gods are not disqualified from the ability to truly and sincerely care for mortals by virtue of their divinity - if They lack that ability, then it is of Their own choosing to disregard the growth of others for the growth of Themselves. Lord Sartan uses His Mhaldorians like crude toys; Lord Twilight tricks His children into bringing Him further glory for no worthwhile purpose other than ego.

Having been branded with the Mark of your Lord, I attest now before all of Sapience - there is no peace to be found in Oblivion. There is no inner calm. There is only surrender of the will to fight, and weakness, as you are made to be a tool in the Mad God's machinations. He can feel no love for anything, and uses the promise of 'freedom' as a way to neutralize otherwise reasonable opposition.

Unlike the foes of Creation, the Bloodsworn Divine do indeed love mortals. Whether you be Occultist or Priest, Mhaldorian or Eleusian, Their love for you is immeasurable. It is Her Light inside of each and every one of us that drives us to seek growth and purpose. His fire within our hearts pulls us towards the path of strength and fills us with courage. Even if you are not one of Their chosen, They love you. They care for you. And They wish to help you grow.

Such is the mission of Good; the preservation of Creation, and the promotion of growth therein.

Praise be unto Them,
