Corrections

Vayne,

while I am generally able to ignore your inability to keep your inflated ego from these boards, I find myself forced to post a correction, lest some of the easily impressable novices you drag to your bed chamber every now and then could actually believe them.

It is quite an odd statement to call us a mere social club for those with fangs after we successfully removed several million gold from the Bank of Hashan under your very nose - your post gives me the lingering feeling that you were, until now, completely unaware of this.

You call me a traitor, and indeed I have been enemied to the city of Hashan for treason, but only because the Regency of the city that still praises itself with having composed the first comprehensive Canon of Laws decided that such a prized document should not be spoiled by actually consulting it, and that treason was the word of the month. The Serpentlords have not put their support behind a traitor, they have put their support behind those that have supported them in return - their Housemates.

However, let us not waste everybody's time with dwelling in the past, for the Serpentlords have better things to do than dealing with the public cries for attention from someone who actually deserved a branding as a traitor. We have much to rebuild, as the price for our freedom was high, but by abandoning a rather significant part of our past, we have won our future.

Being a Serpentlord means mastering your art, and mastery of the silent arts involves staying generally unnoticed. Being a Serpentlord means more than having dexterous hands and a sharp blade. It requires dedication, loyalty, and a quick mind. The training of a Serpentlord involves all those disciplines, so yes, mental exercises are a part of this. Ironically, I'm quite sure that unravelling some of your lies was more often than not part of those exercises, so I am not surprised that you are dwelling on this particular one.

Sincerely,

Lacertix Xenophidex
Grand Hierarch of the Cult of the Serpentlords

P.S. I would appreciate it if you could stop spreading nonsense here, as each correction costs me 5000 gold I could spend much more productively. Thank you.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Lupar, in the year 669 AF.
