An Opportunity of Faith

One could say that it runs in my family to have eyes affixed upon the future and to drive forward at any cost. A wise leader is both progressive in the face of stagnancy and strong in the face of adversity - these are the words of my father Gehan, some of the very few that I remember him speaking before his death at the hands of the manticores. Although it is the nature of my people to keep to ourselves, it is widely known that we come from the mystically quarantined land of Arcadia. My father led our people away from our divinely protected homeland to found our home - Genji. Against all adversity and disdain, my father held steadfast in his progressive views for the future and established our home in the Southern Vashnars that has stood strong for generations against the manticores and all else who seek to destroy us.

A good leader is progressive in the face of stagnancy.

I write to you because it is time for the village of Genji to not only dig our feet into the sand against all who wish ill against us, but it is time to persevere and prevail. It has been our way, for a long time, to achieve the closest manner of isolation possible and to keep our affairs to ourselves. However, historically, our greatest feats as a village were accomplished with the help of outsiders and the allegiances we formed in our times of greatest need. It is a new age for Genji, and it is high time that we open our walls and ears to cordially receive you into our home for a discussion. Our Lord Agatheis has been dead for nearing a century now and in order for us to make any attempt at forward momentum in growing as a community and protecting our own from the enemies in our mountain, we must seek new alliances.

We would like to formally invite the religious and organisational leaders of the land into our mountain homeland, to educate our people on the tenets and ideals that your respective Patrons value. Once we feel that we have been adequately informed, the Atavians of Genji, together, shall use this knowledge to develop a new foundation for our faith. From this new faith, we shall launch forth from our period of stagnancy and reeling loss from the death of Lord Agatheis.

If you are interested in joining us here in Genji to educate us in your ways, please send me a letter at your earliest convenience with three dates inside of the year 711 AF that you and your representatives will be available to visit us. In the upcoming months, I will sort through the letters of intent to create a schedule in which the delegations may enter and address my people. In my making of the schedule, I will be sure to contact each leader who has submitted a request to solidify your allocated time.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Gaharas, daughter of Gehan

Penned by My hand on the 21st of Ero, in the year 710 AF.
