It is with great pride and joy that The Grand Merchant Collective
present The Platinum Merchant Games! In this year long, world wide
eventcelebrating Lord Prospero's return to our realms, there will be
games inspired by His Lordship and prizes for all provided by my house.

There will be 7 categories of games in which you can choose from to earn
points and a chance to win first prize! Worried you wont win? Dont worry
about it! Mere participation will gain you 10 points so there is no way
you can not win at least 10,000 gold. Winners gain 40 points, second
gains 30, and third gains 20.

Without further ado, the upcoming games. Lord Prospero has been so kind
as to place each of the events in the world UPCOMING for your browsing
pleasure.


~~~~Jousting Tournament~~~~

Join the Golden Lance Jousting Tournament! To sign up you may send
Saryaa letter or message saying your wish to join the tournament. Once
the sign up peroid has concluded, she will be randomly matching each of
you up with your jousting partners. Please message Sarya with who you
jousted with and the outcome of the match. You will gain 10 points for
participation. The sign up period will last from the date of this post
until the 4th of Miraman.


~~~~Essence Hunt~~~~

Hunt till you drop! Essence contest for Lord Prospero! To enter the
contest please send Spas a message or letter indicating your wish to
join. Aecius from the order of Lord Prospero has been so kind as to act
as the counter of all your essence. Mere participation will gain you 10
points so be sure to show your prowess as a hunter! Here is a list of
possible shrines to offer to. List provided by the order of Lord
Prospero.

-Cyrene-

-"Entrance Hall of the Courthouse" This is at Jorj's. From the gates
west all the way, nw, sw, 4w, 2n, ne, e, ne, w, w.
-"The Cyrene gates." - entrance to the city, shrine with special status,
due to Lord's patronage of Cyrene.
-"The Prosperian Athenaeum." - from the Lobby of Lyceum of Cyrene, 2 up.

-Hashan-

-"North of Bazaar" n, n, nw, n, n, n, nw, nw from Crossroads.

-Delos-

-"A large reception hall". Inside the Temple.
-"A marketplace under construction". - from the Cobblestone street
through Delos, it is n, nw, e and n.

-Meropis-

-"Scales of slate". - From the Rageteeth beach, it is 2 up, sw, s, e,
s,sw, se, sw, s, sw , s, sw, s, sw, then across the stream se, s, sw,
s,w, nw, sw, s, se, s and 2 sw.



~~~~Trivia~~~~

Fancy yourself a know it all? Read a lot? Or maybe you are just old.
Join Ashelia in 3 rounds of Trivia throughout the year in honour of Lord
Prospero's return! Terrible at trivia? That's no matter. Mere
participation will gain you 10 points for a chance to win the big 100
credit prize! The events will be held at the Merchant Bar in Delos.
Please remember to message Ashelia after each trivia letting her know
ofyour participation.

~~~~Marketing~~~~

Come up with your best mock shop or business idea and write a short ad
and a large ad out and mail it to yours truly! Let your imagination
runwild with what sort of merchant you might be some day. Already a
merchant like that? No problem, use your real shop or business name. You
may list as many short ad ideas as you would like. Please remember not
to be too lewd or ribald in your ideas. To enter into the competition
merely write up a neat letter with the shopname(mock or real), short
ad(as many as you like), and your large ad. You will gain 10 points for
participating so dont be shy! Dont forget to sign your letter!


~~~~Prosperian Design~~~~

Design a dish, piece of clothing, or jewellery with the Prosperian
flare! Dashing and extravagant! Or maybe covered in gems and gold! Take
you pick and Lord Prospero's Order will be judging! Please send all
yourentries in a neat and signed letter to Madelyne and she will see
that the designs find their way to the hands of the Prosperians for
judgement and maybe even the Lord Himself! You will gain 10 points for
participation and may the best designers win!


~~~~Combat~~~~

Merchant sponsored Free-For-Alls will be run by Vix throughout the year
on specific dates so keep on eye on UPCOMING for your chance to gain
some credits and points for the grand prize! Please be sure and message
Vix with your participation and if you got first, second, or third place
in the event. You will gain 10 points for participating.

~~~~Scavenger Hunt~~~~

Join Korimir in an epic Prosperian scavenger hunt! Further information
will be provided in a later post.

Points will be divvied up at the year's end and the winners announced.
To be sure of your points, please be sure to message the alloted person
in charge of each event with word of your participation. Points can not
be counted if we dont know of your participation. Please note that all
those participating to run this event are able to participate in any of
the games save for the one they are running.

PRIZES
1st prize - 100cr and title of Master/Mistress of Merchandising
2nd prize - 50cr and title of Count/Countess of Commerce
3rd prize - 25cr and title of Guru of Gold

Anyone who gets 86 points or more but does not win one of the top 3
prizes gets 100,000 gold
Anyone who gets between 61 and 85 points gets 75,000 gold
Anyone who gets between 41 and 60 points gets 50,000 gold
Anyone who gets between 26 and 40 points gets 25,000 gold
Anyone who gets between 1 and 25 points gets 10,000 gold
