A sentient reply from a sentient Eleusian

First, I would like to remind you that Eleusians, Dryads, Tsol'aa of the Aalen, and the Tsol'dasi are all sentient so your proclamation of the Viridian Charter of Eleusis and ideals of the Scions of the Ithmia as an attack on sentient life is actually an attack on a particular way of life that has become normal in cities that harm nature and probably made popular by the formation of the ancient Seleucarian Empire so to answer your questions.

And yet, what becomes then of sentient life?

Sentient life lives with Nature now, there is no exclusivity of needing iron and stone to be sentient.

You then ask, Is the purpose of all thinking existence to commit itself towards the defense and perpetuation of Nature? To which I ask you the same question but regarding Good, Evil, Chaos, Darkness, and Neutrality and offer that nature isn't exclusive to either of these and to prove my point I invite you to see all the Good in Nature, the carnivorous plants of Mhaldor Isle, the mushrooms of the Black Forest, and the Darkenwood to prove natures neutrality to the interference of city alignments.

Should we as sentient beings cast aside our own natures in order to serve the forests?

Just as you do with Nature itself, you attempt to belittle Eleusians, Dryads, Tsol'aa, Tsol'dasi and many others that are sentient and a part of Nature, yet you absolutely do not need to cast aside anything and as I said in the last question Nature is not so exclusive as to not include the things of Good, Evil, Chaos, Darkness, and Neutrality with Evil only being included because of your false interpretation that a plant eating a person makes it a follower of Evil and the Seven Truths.

Since nature doesn't interfere in the growth of literally anything your next question: And if so, what then becomes of our own right to growth? is invalid and all alignments can choose to work with Nature rather then against it.

what, then, is Nature?

I can only give you my definition of Nature as it is different to everyone but if you speak of physical Nature than physically Nature is a combination of plants and animals of the biomes of our planet which does include the citizens of the cities yet doesn't necessitate that the citizens of the cities exterminate Nature to survive and thrive.

Where is the "extermination" here?

You proclaim to me that stones will crumble and as such there is no extermination of the plants underneath the stones. I invite you to simply dislodge the stone, pull it up and expose the dirt beneath it. Then explain to me how life is thriving under there.

But is that Nature's limit? Does Nature not find splendor and being in the mountains that reach for the skies, the rivers that run through the lands, and the volcanoes that belch forth ash and fire? Are not the stones we lay upon the ground carved from the very earth?

Yes, yet simply because Stones are formed in Nature doesn't mean Nature made them for you to cut and crush her with and the difference between Iron and Stone is clear, Iron and stone might crack and break but will never decay while fallen wood and leather will decay overtime if not maintained by anyone.

how then are alchemical tinctures any different?

Your half-minded rant about how Alchemists are comparable to forestals is laughable at best and I am not trying to be rude but it screams of a desperation to equate cities and Nature that is prevalent throughout your long ranting and I offer to you the Alchemical abilities of growing a Homunculus, manipulating the Humours, Vitrification, Phlogistication, all of Symbology, Ether channeling, Astronomy, Disruption, Aurification, Displacement, and even Ether seek and ask you to explain these as Natural and not Otherworldly.

My writings as a member of Eleusis and the Scions of the Ithmia are predicated within the Viridian Charter and the cities of Sapience have no need to be at odds with Nature, so I offered to all of you a compromise to that conflict should the citizens of your cities want one otherwise Nature can and will protect itself through our Army, Rangers, and our Scions of the Ithmia!

Sincerely,
Achimrst Van Helsing-Sar'vet
