Late on the 10th of Niuran, year 436, a large blaze could be seen coming
from the Putoran Hills. Many came to see where the fire was, discovering
that the Monastary where the Grand Library was had burned to the ground.
The cause of the
fire is unknown at this point.

Herolt, the decipherer was one of the few survivors of the ordeal. The
last of the Order of Chroniclers, and many of the monks, perished in the
fire. With resolute determination, Herolt stated to those gathered that
the Library would be rebuilt, hopefully within the next year.

Since all of the books were lost in the fire, he also stated that any
donations can be given to him and they will be added to the
reconstructed Library once it is complete.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Niuran, in the year 436 MA.
