Spirean Betrayal.

As one who was intimately involved in all aspects of the historical
events Sibatti spoke about in her posts, and as a devout follower of
Lord Damariel, I vouch before my Lord and this realm that Sibatti's
words ring true.

Tina, you speak as if those treaties meant nothing, but know that on at
least one occasion, I restrained the armyies of Enorian from squashing
your city like a bug despite your citizen's constant participation in
raids upon the Beacon.

Luna, you speak of the diplomatic immunity required under the treaties,
you are a fool. There was no diplomatic immunity promised under the
treaties, and the clause you speak of was placed there at -my- request.
The clause stated that the leader of the other cities would remain
allied to each other as a virtual check for troops, to ensure that no
one started building up troops in breach of the treaty. In fact, it was
made very clear between Keeper Darliea, and myself, that should either
of us use our position to raid, attempt to raid, or break the laws, the
status could and would be revoked. On one occasion, Keeper Darliea asked
me to refrain from entering Bloodloch to taunt her citizens, and I
acquiesced. On another occasion, Keeper Darliea helped raid Enorian and
-her- status was revoked. There was no diplomatic immunity.

Here is what I know:

Spinesreach has long been the bitch of Sapience, faithfully following
whichever master is the strongest - Bloodloch for a time, then Ashtan,
then Duiran, and now back to Bloodloch. The city of spires is a shadow
of itself during Ankyrean times, a relic filled by halfwits and
incompetence. There are some within the walls who try to better that
city, but anytime any of those begin to fix that cesspool, it becomes
readily apparent that the idiots are larger in numbers, and they vote
out the competent people in favor of the incompetent.

I have resigned my leadership commissions, and I speak for no one. But I
do speak as someone that has lead a city and guild in both good and bad
times.

Know this, Tina:

This realm is cyclical, and Spinesreach has long avoided being on the
losing side by the deft political maneuverings of the leadership.
Enorian and Duiran will not remain down forever, and by taking every
scrap of land that you can, you are forcing their hand into a future
war, a war that they will be prepared for. This war was won through
trickery and sleight of hand. Durian and Enorian were unprepared, and
caught with their pants down. The buildup for the war, during which your
cities amassed thrice the troops of Enorian and Duiran together is what
won the war, not actual skill. You won the war because you could make
three times the mistakes of Enorian and Duiran, and still win. Forget
not that Duiran was winning when Spinesreach entered the war, having
slain 2:1 Bloodloch troops. It was one critical mistake that doomed
Duiran.

When the might of Enorian and Duiran rise again to meet the challenge in
the future, you had better pray your Sire, Bloodloch, keeps you supplied
and protected, because there will be no mercy, no switching sides, no
deft political manipulations.

There will simply be justice let loose on the homes of the Undead.

Arson of Spinesreach
