A clarification

Let is likewise be understood that in condemning the leaders of the Daru
Monastery, I did not intend to extend such condemnation to the common
people of the Daru, who were ill-represented by their leaders in the
latter years of their independent existence. Many Daru, who are proud
and loyal servants to the Light, represent the best of what the long
tradition has to offer - dedication, discipline, and a unity of body,
mind, and spirit that is an enviable and admirable thing. I state this
not only in apology to the many Daru, past and present, whom my words
have unintentionally wounded; but also to clarify that I regard the best
of the Daru tradition, and the best of its people, as wholly separate
from the actions of a few. The action which I took impacted all Daru,
good and bad alike, and had any other possibility remained to me in the
face of the circumstances, I would have embraced it. Let it be resolved
and understood that I apologize for the harm that has resulted from a
necessary action, and likewise for the offense I gave to loyal and
honorable servants of the Light.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Khepary, in the year 452 MA.
