Midsummer Fest!

Hello!

I have great news! This summer Enorian will be hosting a Midsummer Fest!
It will be a great festival held in Esterport, and open to anyone who
would like to come from anywhere.

There will be free food and drink for everyone who comes, as well as
games, activities, and other entertainment! We will also be hosting a
50/50 raffle to help cover the cost of the festival and two major
contests: one literary and one for apparel.

In order to participate in the 50/50 raffle, please mail me, Callister,
a letter anytime between now and the beginning of the festival. Tickets
will cost 500 gold each. There will be a drawing during the festival,
and the winner of the drawing will receive half of the total gold
collected from ticket sales. The remaining half will go to reimburse
those crafters and artisans who contribute their work to the festival.

In order to participate in the literary contest, please mail me,
Callister, a letter containing your submission anytime between now and
the first of Midsummer. You must have your submission in by this date so
that there is enough time to review them and narrow submissions down to
finalists before the festival. To qualify, your submission piece must be
in some way summer-themed. This may include tangential topics such as
growth, heat or fire, and so on. Your submission may be in any literary
form - short story, poem, song, play, and so on. All attendees will be
able to vote on their favorite submission during the festival, and the
winner will be tallied from the votes!

In order to participate in the apparel contest, you must wear the item
you are submitting to the festival. It may be an article of clothing or
piece of jewelry or something similar, but should not be a weapon, piece
of furniture, or so on. Qualifying submissions must be in some way
summer-themed, by the same guidelines as above. Votes will be cast by
attendees during the festival, and the winner determined by them!

Each individual may only enter each of the contests once. However, they
may enter both. This means one person may submit both a literary and an
apparel entry, but only one of each.

The prizes for each of the two above contests will be:
20,000 gold and a specially-made item for first place.
10,000 gold for second place.
5,000 gold third place.

In addition, there will be several other exciting activities planned
over the course of the event, including but not limited to
improvisational theatrics, games of chance and skill, and the hovering
threat of an impromptu dance contest.

In short, it should be great fun for all! I have included a tentative
draft of the schedule below, and hope to see many of you there!

Callister
