A new gladiator arena has opened near the Coliseum (North then West of the Coliseum staging grounds). The gladiator pit will give you the opportunity to bet on a variety of different gladiators for the chance of winning credit prizes!

How do I play you ask? For every ten credits you purchase, you'll receive a single betting ticket. You can then wager on one of the gladiators in the arena. You can begin betting on gladiators at 20 minutes past the hour (real life time). Bets will close at the 55 minutes mark. The fights will begin at the top of every hour.

Here are the commands. You review all this information in HELP GLADIATORS as well.

GLADIATOR TICKETS
View how many tickets you have available for betting.

GLADIATOR LIST
View the gladiators you can bet on, the weapon they will use in the next battle, and their odds to Win (come 1st), Place (come 2nd or higher) or Show (come 3rd or higher). It will also show you the return per ticket for betting on that gladiator. If the match has already ended, it will tell you the final placing.

The 'points' column is a tally of points that gladiator has earned over time.

GLADIATOR VIEW
Only usable if there is a fight currently happening. This will display who is left alive in the pit and who is not.

GLADIATOR BETS
An overview of your current bets for this match.

GLADIATOR BET <amount> TICKETS ON <gladiator> TO <WIN|PLACE|SHOW>
Place a bet on a gladiator to win, place or show.

Winning means that the gladiator will come in exactly first place.
Placing means that the gladiator will come in second place, or better.
Showing means that the gladiator will come in third place, or better.

The GLADIATOR LIST command will show the odds each gladiator has of winning, placing or showing, as well as the credit return per ticket for betting on that gladiator.

The gladiator pit will remain open until the end of October! After October ends, the pit will remain open for a few days so that you may bet away any remaining tickets
