Mercenary tournaments are now live! MERCTOURNEY LIST, MERCTOURNEY SHOW <id> are the commands, though there isn't really anything to see there.

Tournaments are initiated automatically every Sunday at 0:00 GMT, and start 10 minutes afterwards. To particulate, you need to flag the group as a tournament one - MGROUP <group> FLAG FOR TOURNAMENTS. Tournament groups that have at least one mercenary are automatically enrolled into every tournament, as long as the group is not on an adventure or in a fight when the tournament begins. Players who have at least one tournament-flagged group are notified about the initiated tournament, as well as about the results. MERCFIGHT WATCH lets you watch the status of your team's battle.

You don't need to be online to have your mercenaries participate - as long as the group is flagged and not on an adventure, it will be enrolled automatically.

The tournament proceeds in a single elimination style, team assignment is random. All participating mercenaries are fully before each fight. The single winning team receives three skillbooks, two pieces of mercenary equipment, and some gold. Most of the skillbooks and items are ones that aren't available elsewhere (for now, at least).

The first tournament will be initiated on Friday 19:00 GMT, after which they will run every Sunday (including the coming one) at 0:00 GMT.
