City Bounties and You

Hello, all,

I'm here to post a bit of clarification regarding bounties that was made back in October on the forums, but not posted in-game.

Some notes for defenders:
First, a reminder that there is a statute of limitations - you cannot bounty someone for an event that happened more than 3 real-life days ago (3 Imperian months).

Now, for the clarification:
You can kill someone as much as you want while they're chopping down trees/raiding/killing guards/killing loyals, but only bounty them once for each time they do those things (that is, per event, not per tree/guard/etc). After they're done chopping down trees, you can bounty them once. When they're done killing guards, you can bounty them once. If they leave, and come back to do it again later, THAT is a separate occasion you can bounty for an additional time.

To pre-empt arguing this rule: That does not mean that killing them and them coming back is a separate bounty - if they come RIGHT BACK, they're clearly not done, and it's the same occurrence.

This means that yes, attackers can camp out to avoid multiple bounties, but if they're camping out you can still kill them while they're there anyway.

Further clarification, adding to the point made in that initial forum post:
If someone is returning to kill the same loyal every time it respawns, that isn't a separate bounty for each. Racking up dozens of bounties for what is basically the same occurrence is ridiculous - this falls under the situation noted above: You can kill someone as much as you want while they're doing it, but bounty them only once after they're done.

Some notes for attackers:
Remember that you also cannot bounty defenders. That implicitly means you shouldn't attack them later for it either. You're welcome to kill them if they are defending, while they are defending.

You cannot kill someone for being in a city you are raiding because you think they may attack you. They need to make an aggressive action toward you, first.

You cannot RP a siege on a city or village and claim PK on anyone entering the area.

If you have any questions, please message Jeremy or ISSUE yourself.

Thanks!
