Isra was the Huntress. As all Huntresses, she sought out great and challenging prey to claim as her next trophy. This time, she sought specific prey deep within the Al'drym forest - a rare peryton and its companion. Deep into the woods she strode before she caught wind of her intended target, and with glee she announced her intentions to the world as she charged forward, death in her eyes. However, Isra was not the only entity on the hunt.

From the ground around her, vines of the Leechwood broke through the forest floor, surging upwards with murderous intent, and snaring the ascendari in their writhing tendrils. Filled with loathing and disgust, Isra called out a challenge to Myfanwe, declaring her attempts at saving her pet futile at best. A distant crashing through the forest coming ever closer drew the attention of Isra as the red boar, companion to the peryton, came charging ever forwards, the peryton dancing in its destructive wake. The creatures began a song-filled dance around the entangled entity, their notes growing ever more discordant as they continued. In response, the vines crept upward still, and although Isra was able to free her arms and ready her spear, her hesitation then became her doom. The roots claimed her body and her essence, and the diabolus Myfanwe materialized from the dark woods around her in triumph.

A rush of energy shot out towards the Leechwood as Myfanwe attempted to absorb the fallen ascendari, but something was amiss. She wasn't able to fully absorb the essence that pulsed within her roots, and with a cry of rage, she used the essence as a tool, releasing tainted motes that quickly infested the forests of the world, spreading her blight. This caught the attention of Svorai, who rose to the challenge of saving the forests from blight by calling to the motes, bringing them into herself. Once they were gathered, she reformed the ascendari Isra to her previous form, only to be met with screams of anguish and pain as Isra was consumed from within. Taking pity on her previous foe, Svorai pulled the tainted essence into herself to control it, leaving Isra as nothing more than a statue.

Though Svorai was able to successfully defend the forests of the world and thwart Myfanwe's intent, what does taking on the tainted essence of the fallen ascendari Isra mean for her future?
