My Loss

So innocent a life was lost
Meaningless in its death
So priceless was this heavy cost
Barren once again

Heavily my heart sinks low
My mind replaying every blow
Where in lies the cause
What words would have brought him pause

Even in this, a great lament
I ache, I groan, my joy is spent
Mother hear these pleas and tears
Spare my heart these future fears

What has past has past
It will not be the last
I cling to what I know
I will reap what now I sow

Though hurting and bleeding
My heart torn asunder
I release all the guilt
Of the one that brought me under

In grace I forgive the one that slew
With peace I will mend
Love I will choose

Noralie

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Fas, in the year 600 AD.
