Time Time Time

Slowly the sands fall in the hourglass in my hand
Silently observing each black grain as I stand

I am Immortal, timeless and eternal
Devine, Mortal, and Infernal
My cruel enemy time do you ever cease
to countdown the time till war after peace
You wear down mountain that once stood tall
You count down the time till the next leaf's fall
You watch the rise of civilizations great
You bring about their sure fate
You steal from me the taste of victory
You reward those who from you flee
You stole away my old mentor dear
You took away each child that I did rear
You ended my days of youth and mirth
You have worn at my life sense my birth
You stole my mate my love and my wife
You tear and attack all that is my life
You steal happiness when it is mine
You destroy the being whom to me is kind
You take from me all that is life
And return to me only strife
So In the end I thank you my foe
For you also lay my enemies low

I am Immortal, Timeless, and Eterneal..
Devine, Mortal, and Infernal

And so silently observing here I stand
Watching them fall those black grains of sand.

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Naturalis, in the year 601 AD.
