temptation

The thrill of it all making my heart skip a beat.
The excitement of the chase, the quest for the special treat.
The want for something more.
Wanting just one taste it is so very sweet.

The need to feed that deep desire.
The temptation that turns into a burning fire.
The knowing you might get burned.
Yet saying you don't care would make you a liar.

The thirst to know so much more.
The desire to be at your side instead of out the door.
The watching, the waiting, the needing you as my feet hit the floor

Knowing its got to be right to feel this way.
Risking it all as I start to pray.
Should I run or should I stay?

Whichever way I go, I am guided along by the things my heart does feel.
It beats loudly within, awake and whole. Ready to make a deal.
Do I give in to emotion, do I let let loose a spin on my favorite gambling wheel?

Risk it all, go for broke.
Give in to life, but do not choke.
Choices are never a joke.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Ferinus, in the year 626 AD.
