Dream of a Muse

Written by: Mathiu Kislev

Imagined future of my dreaming,
Warmth of hearth, the dawn of Spring,
Stolen breath of bright desire,
Reveal yourself, my heart must sing.

Ignite in me that breathless wonder.
Light the spark within my mind.
Strike me speechless. Roar like thunder.
Make me worship how you shine.

Evoke from me that inspiration,
Forging legend in its wake,
Beseeching quill and ink to paper,
Roses blooming for its sake.

Reduce pride to hesitation,
Steadiness to stumbling steps.
Make me quake in trepidation,
That I be, of you, bereft.

Searching, questing for your favor,
Longing for your company,
Lady, radiant in beauty,
Make this my reality.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Artificium, in the year 107 AM.
