Don't live every single day
letting negative things take your joy away.
Even if you're sinking in the quicksand of gloom,
don't let that place be your eternal home and tomb.
I watch the butterflies dart about in Caoimhe dell,
I look at the beauty of the place and know
that for the moment things are well.
And even in times of unrest,
I know everything will turn out for the best.
In dark times light always shines through.
I know, deep down, that this is true.
I hope reading this poem has been worthwhile.
I hope it makes at least one other person smile.
