This is an arty map from the interactive fiction game, Zork I, created by Infocom.
Those where the days.
Man this was a great game. I used to like Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I swear they made that text based game just to drive people crazy...
All in Nice map!
I know this one :)
I remember as a kid trying to see if I could decipher the language on here. These text games were the only games I had (and were far more sophisticated than graphic games at the time). I played most all of the Infocom games I could get my parents to buy.
Really cool games!
Wow, I never saw that map before. Not that it's actually of any use what-so-ever for the game, but nonetheless it's rather cool.
Agree nice map
heavily inspired by lotr, i see...
Those are clearly not the misty mountains
Is this Ire game?
Well. That makes me feel old.
Cool I suppose...
i am not that old to have played this :P
it would be interesting to play
I am old enough but I still haven't played it. What kind of writing is on the map? Japanize?
I don't remember if it was Zork I played years and years ago. Just that it was something on my dad's really old monster IBM with the tiny green screen.
should try this...
...I'm sad now, as I was born after the INFOCOM..
Zooorrrk, never played much of it. So much to do, not so easy for me to get into, I suppose. Guess I'll stick to what text game I do know though I'm happy that Zork probably inspired a great deal for the IRE games. Should have quest based off it. That'd be cool, wouldn't it?
It might be, I think it would depend on how far off the Zork storyline is from the game setting that you are in.
This is a nice map. I like the invented script.
