Those with eyes to see, let them see:

The Crown is a unique entity; a state ruled by law and ambition. Its
citizens are encouraged to seek knowledge and truth in the dark and
endless Night. They are free men and women able to choose their own
courses in this world.

Yet such personal freedom requires much self discipline, for there is no
course laid out for the Hashani to follow but that which he blazes for
himself. Those with little ambition are content in their apathy;
likewise, those with lofty ambition yet lacking the will to execute it
find themselves impotent to secure the success they feel they rightly
deserve.

Only those with both the Dreams of greatness and the fortitude to make
it a reality find success in the Crown. Its citizens rise and fall of
their own merit and none else. In Hashan, there is no path set
conveniently before you. No masters to tell you what to think or how to
act. No call for blind zealotry in the name of short-sighted ideals.
Here you find only the freedom to forge your own legacy should you have
the mettle to do so.

So few know what to do with freedom, fewer still are able master their
own fate. It is no wonder some are driven to submit themselves willingly
to slavery, releasing them from the burden of self-actualization,
relinquishing themselves in a manner so much more agreeable to those
lacking in true character.
