Deacon Aodfionn Wintermourne, Sentinel of the Ivory Dawn,

I hold no ill will against you, or the vast majority of Targossas, or the Orders of Lord Deucalion and Lady Aurora. I am neither part of the Devotionists of Targossas, nor am I of the Diaspora - I have no claim on the decisions of your people, nor do I desire it. However, if we are to speak of sympathy, or of salvation, or of kindness, or of heresy, then there is a hard truth to accept:

Caoimhaen and Lauria, regardless of their faults, are decent people. Good people. Anyone with eyes to see what they have done, or ears to hear what they have said, would glance askance to your placing their names alongside a shadow who has betrayed every iota of goodness and honour that she once stood for. The aid that Devotionists give are a boon, one that is given at the discretion of Targossas and the Diaspora - I respect that, I am genuinely thankful for the Devotionists of my city, and accept such limitations and restrictions as the will of your people.

But make no mistake: the people you alienate are not always wicked, nor madmen, nor liars, nor thieves. Those who leave Targossas do not often or always do so for the detriment of Creation. To declare otherwise would be to have the gall to consider Nature, or Industry, or the Arts, or the Sea, or our very Dreams, as anything less than important facets of our world and creation as we know it. If Targossans seek someone to blame for pushing away such good and noble people from their city, I could only suggest that they look into a mirror.

With Respect, and Kindest Regards,
Bronislav Zviera

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Glacian, in the year 672 AF.
