Salutations, Sapience!

I am writing today to inform you of a recent event of momentous proportions. On the 20th of Mayan, 694 A.F., I formally annexed the territory of North Tapoa, thus forming the Grand Duchy of North Tapoa, with myself as Grand Duke. While I will not bore you with all the tedious specifics, I will endeavor to answer some basic questions I am sure you have and clarify exactly how this impacts you.

Q: Where and what is North Tapoa?

A: As many of you probably know, Tapoa is an island southwest of Sapience ruled by my southern counterpart, Duke Vultubus. Just north of Tapoa, you will find a smaller island known as North Tapoa. This is the island which comprises my duchy.

Q: I just went to North Tapoa and there was nothing on the island. What is up with that?

A: Yes, this is rather true. My Grand Duchy is quite underdeveloped, even by Tapoan standards. Also, most of the citizens, myself included, primarily reside on the mainland.

Q: Hey, if you rule North Tapoa, can I visit it?

A: Yes, any and everyone is more than welcome to visit my duchy. I am also looking for citizens to populate my realm, should you be interested!

Q: Are there laws I have to obey when I am in North Tapoa?

A: While I am the ruler of the island, I am both a benevolent and lenient sovereign. There are, at this time, no formal laws in effect in the Grand Duchy of North Tapoa.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact myself.

Also, if you are interested in either citizenship in my duchy or possibly being awarded a place in my royal court, please contact me so we can discuss the matter.

Fondly,
His Majesty Despran Negai, Grand Duke of North Tapoa

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Sarapin, in the year 695 AF.
