Public News Post #19869

Such a waste of ink.

Hail Chaos, Mr. Wintermourne.

I did indeed apply to Targossas several decades ago. A charming young Priestess sought to convert me, and being rather bored of doing nothing at all of consequence I thought I might give it a go.

I did indeed seek to join Targossas. I did indeed make quite public that I had an axe to grind with Oblivion - as I did that I had reservations that Good was the right path to take to pursue it. I have set down that axe and extended a conciliatory tentacle towards Oblivion so that I might get back to the work I am passionate about.

Your own eloquent nonsense makes no note of the fact that, despite being accepted for citizenship, I did not join the City of Targossas. I found that my views were incompatible with Targossas and I left your offer of citizenship unanswered.

For the record, I also applied for Hashani citizenship. _That_ is how bored I was.

Those who keep an accurate calendar in Ashtan may note that each application to another city followed a failed attempt to resolve my enemy status with Ashtan and to regain citizenship there. Sorry, bud. Your city was the second prettiest girl, and I was deep in my cups.

That I have been treacherous in the past is beyond dispute. But every treason was either at the behest of, of for the benefit of Chaos.

Aodfionn, in your youth, I mocked you for the way you grunted instead of communicating with words. I lectured you for it and castigated you for contributing nothing of value to any conversation.

You grunt less with a quill, but I see little else has changed.

Father Reznik Saer'rac

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Phaestian, in the year 717 AF.
