The Black Wave and Our Future

Nithilar,

By your own ethos, the "great" servants of Evil should render themselves servile to the Tsol'teth menace. Your dogma implores you to submit to greater power, so that you might find your paltry triumph in the adversity slavery offers - to rise above and beyond your former masters, and to become those who wield the yoke instead of bear it. Through the Suffering wrought by the fracturing of our realm, you might find twisted solace.

Such feckless views are unfortunately, not only a product of Western teachings. The Nihilists of the North too find themselves spurned into a dogmatic frenzy, contesting the efforts of the realm to right itself, so that the "inevitable" end may yet be reckoned faster, succumbing to the chill tendrils of the Outer Cold. Why care, when all shall end regardless? When the chill is but a stone's throw from our doorstep?

Evidently, this is no longer a time for dogma.

The Zaphar itself boils black with the twisted corruption of stolen shadows. The Sword of Dunamis is plunged into murky darkness beside the glow of the Silverveil. Our nights grow darker, our futures grow grim. We grow tired and weakened by the endless onslaught of the incorporeal minions of the underwalkers.

This is a time for survival.

As the Worldreaver once impinged upon our realm, threatening the death of our Divine and loved ones amidst His endless hunger, so too do the Tsol'teth scum of the depths below seek to drown us in their terrible Tide, and take all that we hold dear from us. Bound by planar accord, or so the Lord Bard says it, our Divinity cannot help us any longer.

Nicator once united the realm in the fight against the Tsol'teth. We shall be ordained no such saviour from the Logos again, with His attention affixed firmly on the Fire Behind the Flame, by His own edict.

We must save ourselves, and we must do it together.

The Coalition is not an agreeable set of circumstances. Many of us loathe working with the other, our opposites in doctrine and temperament. The servants of Darkness bristle against those of the Light. Righteous servants tarry alongside servants of Chaos, their greatest foe. Those of Nature's ilk seethe against the sins of the city-bearers. The non-aligned of Cyrene detest the outsiders that deplore them for their willed ignorance.

If you truly care for Creation - no, if you truly care for your lives and all that you give your breathe to see wrought in our world - you will do what you must, and you will join with the Coalition. We need not love each other, and it is likely that we never will, but if the Tsol'teth assume command of our realm, we shall not have the luxury of hating each other.

The only other way, is death. Make your choice, and do it soon.

The Tide comes.

In service to Creation,
Daeir I'lithian
