The Phoenix

Holy blazing fury
White flesh concealed, consumed
Righteous judgment
Blazing wrath in her eyes.

Her rage and pain
Pierce sky and Heaven's heart
Cry ringing strong
Never denied, all-consuming.

Flame of her fingers
Over cheek with tender caress
Or claws of vengeance
Searing hearts closed that never beat.

Crystal tears
Healing wounds of the guilty
Soft feathers
Embracing weary shoulders

Crystal tears
Poisoning the bloodless
Winged tempest
Destroying ill-begotten stand.

Angry reds rage bright
As her flame consumes her soul
Pain and desolation
Weigh heavy once again.

And so her wrath
It burns away
And the aching settles in
She sinks to the ground.

She falls apart
Piece by little piece
The wind chips away at the ashes
And she is reduced to nothing.

One single seed
This tiny burgeoning hope
Love and faith
And thoughts of warm spring to come.

So she gather herself
Rise again, inspiration
For strength leads her
From a Phoenix's heart.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Fas, in the year 642 AD.
