Subj: Banapis and a Religious Celebration

I address all the Sects across Midkemia today.

With Banapis fast approaching, I thought it appropriate to spend the new year in celebration of the Divine forces that guide our lives and keep our world turning, and ever more interesting. While I know each city, and people find themselves a way to celebrate the New Year in their own fashion, I saw it fit that we should all gather together, even for a brief while, to celebrate a power higher than ourselves.

As such, I invite all the prominent Sects in Midkemia to a gathering beginning on Banapis Day, and running as long as it needs to. There shall be food, and drink, and merriment as custom with Banapis. But this festival shall be in celebration of higher powers. I ask that each Sect nominate a sole member to perform a sermon, speech, poem, story, or some other form of performance in celebration of their God or Goddess and their Sect.

While Banapis is close at hand, I would appreciate that the nominations for speakers be sent to me, by letter, tell, message, or otherwise so I can draft an itinerary for the occasion, and that all Sects may get their fair share of time to preach to the people about their Divine.

Thank you, and may you have a wonderful new year.
