Referrals Guide
Referrals let you invite a new player or an inactive returning player to the game and earn rewards as they reach specific milestones. Both the referrer and the referred player can receive in-game rewards when those milestones are met.
Quick Start (60 seconds)
- Generate your personal referral link: REFER LINK
- Send that link to your friend and tell them to use it when they sign up or return.
- For a brand-new player: have them confirm you during their first character creation (after using your link).
- If a brand-new player forgot to use your link, they can still confirm you in-game within the first 25 hours of playtime: REFER CONFIRM <name>
- For an inactive returning player: they must log back in using your personal link to be automatically confirmed as your referral.
- If an inactive returning player cannot use the link, they must confirm you during their first login session after 90+ days of inactivity:
REFER CONFIRM <name> - Check progress and rewards any time: REFER REWARDS
- See who you have referred: REFER LIST

Important: Once a player confirms a referrer, it cannot be changed.
Rules at a glance (read this before you start)
- Eligibility: Referrer must be in good standing. Abuse may result in the revocation of rewards and penalties.
- Referral types: New Player Referral and Returning Player Referral.
- Confirmation timing (New Player): Confirm during first character creation (after using the referrer’s link), or via in-game confirmation within the first 25 hours of playtime.
- Confirmation timing (Returning Player): Automatic confirmation when an eligible inactive player logs back in using the referrer’s link, or in-game confirmation during the first login session after 90+ days of inactivity.
- Reward timing: Rewards are granted to both the referrer and the referred player when the referred player reaches the listed milestones for that referral type.
- Disqualifiers and conduct: No self-referrals to alt accounts. Players should not troll newbies to earn referral bonuses, this behavior will result in a permanent ban on referring.
- New player restriction: The new player cannot have an existing account for the game.
- Returning player restrictions: Only accounts with no active characters in the game qualify for a returnee incentive. Only one return invite per registration per real-life year.
- One-time limits: Returning invites are limited to once every 12 real-life months for the same person (as long as they’ve been inactive for 90+ days).
How it works (plain language)
The referral system uses a personal link to connect a referrer to a referred player. Depending on whether the referred player is new or returning after inactivity, confirmation happens either during character creation, automatically on login via the link, or through an in-game confirmation command within specific time windows. Once confirmed, both players become eligible for rewards as the referred player reaches milestones tied to that referral type.
Example scenarios
- New player referral: You run
REFER LINKand send the link to your friend. They sign up using your link, then confirm you as their referrer during their first character creation. As they reach milestones like levels and class progress, you both receive the listed rewards. - Returning player referral: You send your personal referral link to a friend who has not logged in for 90+ days and has no active characters. They log in using your link and you are automatically confirmed as their referrer. As they accumulate playtime across all characters on their registration, you both receive rewards at the listed playtime milestones.
- Common mistake (returning player): A returning player logs in without using the referral link and does not confirm a referrer during their first login session after 90+ days of inactivity. Their character is then considered active and becomes ineligible to be a returning referral.
Referral types
New Player Referral
- Eligibility: Refer a new player to join the game. The new player cannot have an existing account for the game. No self-referrals to alt accounts. Referrer must be in good standing.
- How confirmation happens: When someone signs up using your personal link and confirms you as their referrer during their first character creation, you’ll be confirmed as their referrer.
- In-game confirmation window: New players can confirm a referrer in-game within the first 25 hours of playtime.
- Key restrictions: Players should not troll newbies to earn referral bonuses, this behavior will result in a permanent ban on referring. Abuse may result in the revocation of rewards and penalties.
- Locked choice: Once the new player confirms their referrer, the selection is locked and cannot be changed.
Returning Player Referral
- Eligibility: Invite an existing, but inactive player to return to the game. Only accounts with no active characters in the game qualify for a returnee incentive.
- How confirmation happens: When an eligible inactive player logs back in using your personal link, you’ll automatically be confirmed as their referrer.
- In-game confirmation window: Returners can confirm a referrer in-game only during their first login session after 90+ days of inactivity.
- Key restrictions: Only one return invite per registration per real-life year. Referrer must be in good standing. Abuse may result in the revocation of rewards and penalties.
- Locked choice: Once the returning player confirms their referrer, the selection is locked and cannot be changed.
Rewards
Rewards are granted to both the referrer and the referred player based on milestones specific to their referral type. Easier milestones reward Unbound Credits, while harder milestones reward Iron Forged Bonds, which can be redeemed at in-game shops for exclusive rewards.
