12.7.8 Isle of New Hope
Located in the southern ocean a short distance southwest of Shallam is the
Isle of New Hope. Much of the island is filled with wild animals, but along
its northern coast lies a small village founded a short time before the fall
of the Seleucarian Empire. Originally sponsored by the Church as a place for
citizens of Shallam, weary of endless conflict, to lead a quieter life, they
are led by a small sisterhood of priestesses, whose monastery is the literal
and spiritual centre of the community.
