Achaean Combat Council applications

In preparation for some fairly extensive combat system additions in the latter half of this year (and an upcoming classlead round), we'll be opening up applications for the Achaean Combat Council.

For those of you not aware, this is a group of players who primarily works with our development team on various pvp projects, as well as bringing general combat issues to our attention. As players, you're in the best possible position to flag up issues that might otherwise go unnoticed.

What we're looking for in applicants:
- Of course, a strong knowledge of Achaea's pvp system. This is a requirement for any member of the ACC: much of the feedback we are looking for tends towards the fine tuning nature, so understanding major implications is very important.

- A willingness to devote time to testing. This is probably what the ACC members do most of. For instance, a new class or combat system will need extensive testing to ensure new mechanics are reasonable and keep within the boundaries established by preexisting standards. If there are exploits to be found, you're the guys who we hope will find them before they end up in the live environment.

- Finally, and most important: the ability to work well with others. I can't overstate this enough.

If you're interested in applying, please email an application containing the following to me at makarios@achaea.com:
1) Your real name.
2) Your character's name(s).
3) The classes you actively play (or have played previously).
4) One-two changes you would make to one of the classes that you currently play.
5) One-two changes you would make to a class you don't play (or play less, if you're Antonius).

I'll be closing applications (and opening classleads) at 0 GMT on the 4th of July (this coming Monday).

Penned by My hand on the 1st of Chronos, in the year 716 AF.
