Pressed leaves gently rustle,
Their soft little hustle
As they catch the light from below.

Parchment crinkles as
Eyebrows wrinkle
And my mind can?t help but grow.

Tender Oaks embrace
This hallowed place,
Ancient Circle I?ve come to know.

And although I am home
As I reach for these tomes,
I cannot help but think?

The ink that stained
These fingers so pained
is but just one of the many things bleak.

For I have been studying so long at this ?Scholar Thing?
That this well-weathered chair has contoured my derrière
And I feel my mind starting to sink.

As my mind has mulled
My hooves have dulled -
Great Lord Lupus,
Just what would He think?

Alas, without guidance
I must give confidence,
That I?m really just starting to stink!
