Child of Whentherewas

Her song for the child of when-there-was, carries long-gone hopes of yore.

As you listen you hear in each silvery strain, the anticipation she had for more.

For when-there-was joy, there was also pain...
When-there-was sadness, the rains then came...

And the skies were as blue as the child in her arms, when-there-was, when-there-was love.

She crooned to the stormy-sea gaze of her babe, as tears flooded the shore.

When-there-was pleasure it gave swiftly to sorrow, held tightly there to her core

For when-there-was brightness, the darkness descended...
When-there-were beginnings so to they were they ended...

And the lakes and the streams trickled, sad, starry things, o'er silence that left them to mourn.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Lupar, in the year 673 AF.
