The Test

Lately I have been wandering
Lost in my own mind
My path confusing as a labyrinth
Escape unable to find

I knew my path, and yet it slipped away
Fog clouded my vision
Lost, I tumbled along the winds
Unable to make a decision

For a long time, I have preached
The heart will not lie
Yet when your path splits
Which way to the sky

Can one man be both, I have asked myself true
Can I protect all
Or in my own indecision
Will I fall?

Asking wisdom from those who know more than I
Forgetting the words I have told
I went along one path, a distance, though
I still had a foot in the path old

Where to go, to heed Fate's call
Do I jump into the wind
Risk Gravity and chance a fall
Or stay on that which I have chosen?

Late one month, unable to sleep
I awoke from an interesting dream
Going to a friend I did see
That Fate was not all it seemed

The answer my companion gave was wise
Wisdom at its best
Destiny is the path we choose
Fate is the test

For what wise man ever did commit
To a path that his heart was unsure
What ship ever sailed
With uncertainty of capture?

I am young, I am but a child
Yet wisdom I can give
Unless your heart is a hundred percent
The path you are on you should live

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Lupar, in the year 704 AF.
