Raining

Written by: Esquire Sunny Ashaela of Immunes Praetoria

A light touch upon the cheek
A skyward glance ever so meek
A frightful cloud revenge to seek
A ripple in the lonely creek

First one, then many more
Falling fast upon the shore
River rising lest the dam breaks
Legs moving lest the tide takes

A slip in the mud, wasn't it dirt?
Fall upon a stick, doesn't it hurt?
Sounds of battle crashing about
A fallen soldier gives a shout.

Rush to defend forever more
Like a raindrop upon a shore.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Phaestian, in the year 713 AF.
