Poetry News Post #5051

summer

Written by: Nixxe Ashaela, Scarlatti's Amber Weaver of Imagination

Addressed to: Everyone

the time of bugs
with their droning noise
begrudging heat
delirious lugs
mosquito on water poise
cold drink, a treat

but as we move, slow as slugs
reminded that nature employs
obvious and discreet
chugs and jugs
for our sorrows and joys
for fall we bleat

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Miraman, in the year 715 AF.
