A strange disturbance above the Siroccians today heralded the
machinations of the Ultraist, who bent Her will to the opening of the
Source of Knowledge, from which She planned to draw ultimate power.
Drawing on the blood of Moirean and Tageta to fuel Her ritual, the Lady
of Mystery almost succeeded, but was interrupted by the rude arrival of
Ivoln, God of Earth.

This confrontation ended in violence, as the Father of Undeath lifted
the Ultraist by the head, mocking Her solitary pursuits and cracking Her
mask asunder. With a throng of mortals and Divine as witnesses, Ivoln
cast Niuri into the Source itself, and was only saved from following Her
by the intervention of Dhar, who severed the Goddesses hands from her
wrists with His blade. The Underking would have then taken too the life
of Ivoln, if not for first the unwilling intervention of Ison, then the
violent collapse of the chamber ceiling.

As the dust and rubble settled, Niuri and the Source were nowhere to be
found. As Her shrines crumbled and order dissolved, it became apparent
that She was lost from mortal sight.
