Several months ago, we received concerns from players that there were
multiple instances of families with several alts being used to increase
their family numbers. This initiated an investigation across the board
of all families and a review of our current policies regarding seconds
abuse and families. While HELP SECONDS has been updated for six months
or more, we are now taking action regarding families with alts in them.

We will be reaching out to all characters with seconds in the same
family and asking them to choose one character to remain in that family
and voluntarily reject the family with all other characters. After a
30-day grace period, for any players who have not reduced the number of
characters active in a family down to one, the administration will
select which characters should be deactivated based on what we feel will
be the least disruptive to the family.

While we recognize that this will be difficult on some families, we
believe that the change will provide the fairest playing field for all
families in the game. Unfortunately, due to the depth and breadth or the
problems we have discovered, we are officially ending the practice of
allowing alternate characters of the same player within the same family.
